THE ROLE

We are seeking a full time highly motivated and enthusiastic Conference and Events (C&E) Manager to join the Emporium Hotel management team. You will be required to manage and coordinate the end to end operations of corporate, social and wedding events throughout all the conference and events space within the hotel.

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role that requires excellent organisational, multi-tasking and communication skills. The role will be suitable for an experienced Event Manager looking for the next step in their career in a 5-star boutique luxury Hotel. 

KEY TASKS

  • Coordinate and manage the day to day conference and events operations, whilst maximising profitability and exceeding our guests needs;
  • Be flexible to client demands and have the ability to deal with last minute changes and requests;
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and possess a genuine desire to implement new revenue initiatives;
  • Provide direction, support and motivation to the C&E team;
  • Dynamic business with a variety of corporate and social events that requires flexibility to work weekends, nights and public holidays.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Passion for customer service and a desire to work in a five star luxury boutique hotel
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Outstanding personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Confidence to build successful relationships within the management team
  • The ability to work full-time with flexibility to work additional hours (evenings and weekends) as required;
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to exceed guests expectations within a five-star hotel environment.

THE ROLE

We are now seeking a talented, creative and highly experienced individual to take ownership of the Hotel’s Marketing Department. Reporting to the General Manager, this role plays a pivotal role in planning and driving efficient and timely execution of day-to-day activities that maximise brand awareness and revenue outcomes across Emporium Hotel South Bank’s operational streams (accommodation, conference and events, food and beverage). 

This is a dynamic, multi-facted role that requires excellent organisational, multi-tasking and communication skills as well as a strong desire to succeed. 

KEY TASKS

  • Developing a digital media strategy
  • Identifying and developing creative and strategically sound marketing programs
  • Budget management and review, planning and adjusting spend to optimise return on investment
  • Manage overall marketing spend to drive traffic & awareness
  • Video and image library production and management
  • Working with the external public relations consultant to identify and pursue opportunities that drive awareness of hotel offerings through target media (local, national, international)
  • Online advertising channel management
  • Guest Management Solutions (GMS) portal management
  • Hotel website management
  • Social Media management
  • Design and print all hotel marketing collateral
  • Produce and manage internal electronic signage
  • Work with Heads of Department to plan and execute departmental marketing plans, with the view to drive brand awareness and revenue generation opportunities.
  • Event promotion, driving awareness and ticket sales.
  • Manage and leverage Hotel partnership agreements
  • Guardianship of the Emporium Hotel brand, managing and policing its use internally and externally


To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous marketing experience (preferably in a property/hotel/hospitality environment)
  • High competency Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:
    • InDesign
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • Understanding of public relations strategy
  • Budget planning and management
  • Experience with Google Analytics and data interpretation
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems (particularly email marketing)
  • Basic understanding of HTML coding
  • Brand management
  • Social media management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written communication skills

Emporium Hotels is Australia's most awarded boutique luxury hotel brand, with a focus on sophisticated, bespoke style and exceptional service. 

Emporium Hotel South Bank  features six food and beverage outlets, each distinct in its offering, providing locals, guests and residents a choice of unique experiences. With all outlets set to be operational in the coming months we are now looking to expand our talented kitchen brigade with a Banquet Sous Chef.

Assist the Executive Chef in planning, supervising and controlling selection and production of all food items in the banquet kitchen, ensuring the highest level of product quality, presentation and sanitation. Responsible for menu planning, recipe creation, food ordering, food production, storage, sanitation, labour staffing and scheduling. Directs the training and supervision of all banqueting kitchen team members.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience in leading a banqueting kitchen within a Hotel environment;
  • Experience in banquet event orders and ability to understand and provide all detailed items in accordance with guests' wishes.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality food, with a passion for your craft;
  • Excellent personal presentation and attention to detail;
  • The ability to work a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends;
  • Strong communication skills and highly developed organisational skills;
  • A willingness to learn, grow and a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver Exquisite Experiences for our guests, every time, every shift!
  • Eligibility to work in Australia;
